Mark Mann is a leading expert in insurance and risk management. Mark was born in Muskogee and raised in Checotah Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma on a prestigious President’s Leadership Class Scholarship majoring in International Government and History.
Mark worked in his families ranching, construction, and building materials businesses from an early age, and is still involved in real estate investments. Mark served on the campaign staff of a prominent United States Congressman, as a lobbyist for a statewide professional association, and as a community relations director for the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. This diverse background gives Mark a keen knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Oklahoma families and small business owners.
Upon leaving the federal and state government arenas, Mark formed Mark Mann Insurance & Financial Services and has been working with Oklahoma families and small business owners to mitigate risk ever since.
Mark is a past board member of The Oklahoma Celebration of Reading, past Chairman of the Bricktown Rotary Foundation, and served as an appointee of Governor Brad Henry on the Oklahoma Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners. Currently Mark serves as the President of the Bricktown Rotary Club of Oklahoma City, a member of the board of the Bricktown Rotary Foundation, and serves on the Board of the Warren Spahn Gala Awards honoring Oklahoma high school student athletes, an Oklahoma sports broadcaster, and the best left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball. Mark, along with two other Oklahoma City area businessmen, are the organizers of the Annual Oklahoma City Charity Scotch Tasting that benefits a different Oklahoma City area charity each year, this event has been featured in the international Malt Advocate Magazine.
Mark is a member of NAIF (National Association of Insurance and Financial Services Agents), and has achieved their designation of Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow. Rotary International has named Mark a “Paul Harris Fellow,” and Farmers Insurance has awarded Mark the Oder of The Blue Vase, and he has attended Farmers Toppers Club. In September 2010 Oklahoma Business Magazine named Mark one of their “40 under 40.”
Mark lives in the historic Mesta Park area of Oklahoma City and is married to Tonya Mann, a high school counselor. Mark and Tonya have two sons Alexander and Andrew.
